Setting Up My Bullet Journal [Part 2.0] + Introducing “Let’s Chat, Shall We?”

DESIGN / ART

I was surprised at the great responses I got on my first post of Setting Up My Bullet Journal! Since you guys loved it, I decided to post part 2. In this sitting, using the same materials as last time and some acrylic paint, I added a couple of themed pages as well as some habit trackers.

I’m starting up a new post series that will be called “Let’s Chat, Shall We?” (hence my comments prompt you see at the end of all my posts!) It will be monthly post giving you guys an opportunity to get to know me more through your questions! I’ll have a page dedicated to your questions that will be published when everything’s all set up. Don’t forget, I send out weekly emails every Monday which include life updates, rants, posts excerpts, sneak peeks, bookish things and more. You can sign up here.

Also, if you haven’t noticed (or if you’ve been living under a rock this whole time) I’ve changed  up the look of my blog. I swapped my header and updated my sidebar as well as improved my “about” pages. I also switched my logo and button, which you can find here and here.

Okay! Now that we’ve got all those things out of the way, let’s jump right into the post.

All images, excluding the featured one, are owned by me and are not to be used without prior consent and permission. More on this.

As you can see I found the fine tip colored markers and decorated the “idea” page. Then I painted with copper acrylic paint a brush stroke on the top of the page.

The I wrote with my brush pen and fine tip sharpie “Give Thanks.” This will be where I can write down things I’m thankful for.

On the next page, I wrote “Hydration: 10 Ways To Drink More.” I (obviously) put 10 tips to drink more, such as setting an alarm.

Here’s a closeup of the tips. Halp! I really need to stay hydrated and drink my water. 🤗

Next I added a section called “Focus.” It’s basically a place where I can add study tips and inspiration. I added this “Taking Care Of Business” sticker.

You can see I used some tips from this post. I’ll be adding more later as I explore others!

On the following page I added a big section of “Post Ideas” I inserted columns so I can check off the post idea once I’ve used it.

Next I added a “favourites” page. This includes favorite books, movies, authors, foods, websites/blogs, etc.

Here’s a close up of the header. I decided to put some cute food clip art to decorate.

The next page is for contact information.

And here’s the closeup. The symbols mean name, address, phone number, email, and other.

To finish it off I added the page titles and corresponding page numbers. And yes, it’s filling up fast!

  1. I wanna be like you when I grow up! XD I need to really customize my blogging journal. I finally decided start one (well, when I find a blank one, that is) and write down post ideas and tag nominations and put a little calendar in it for monthly stuff.

  2. This was lovely, Rebecca! I LOVED seeing your ideas, especially the fonts. I run out of font ideas very quickly. -_- XD My favorite part of your bullet journal update is either the “ideas” (so pretty!) or the hydration thingy. They were both so neat!

    1. Thank you! A great idea is to browse Pinterest for ideas by searching the type of font you want, for example “calligraphy brush stroke font.” 😉

  3. Your bullet journal is beautiful! I feel so inspired right now, thank you.😊I’m excited for your new post series!
Also, just wondering, what kind of pens do you bullet journal with? I’m trying to find some that won’t bleed through quite as much as what I have.

    1. Thank you, and I’m glad it helped! I listed the supplies I used in my last BuJo post. My journal does have thicker pages (it’s a sketchbook) so it works well with markers that aren’t as bleed-proof.

    1. AHH THANK YOU SO MUCH MADI! 😀 It’s definitely not perfect… and I get my ideas from elsewhere and so they’re not all my own. 😛 Credits to all those lovely creators out there who have such amazing ideas!! ❤

  4. Honestly, alllllll your pages are soooooo good! I can NOT believe that you drew all that! Can I please have a little bit of your blogging and journaling talent? Pretty please?
Once upon a time I had a little schedule full of all the times I had to drink a cup of water, and for like two days I took a water bottle everywhere, but that was, you know, once upon a time…
Loooove your blog 🙂 ❤ Keep it up, girl!

  5. When I was in kindergarten, I always competed with my friends to see who could finish water the fastest because if not, we would get scolded or something. But now, we’re like, trying to ration out our water since we play so much sports! Maybe working out can help you drink more water!!
