Hello, hello! I hope you’re having a lovely day. Spring is amazing, don’t you agree? In today’s post – inspired by the lovely Ella – I will be sharing my morning routine! To be honest with you, I don’t really follow a “strict” routine. These are just some of the things I find myself doing every morning before I start my day. You may have a routine, you may not – but however you start your day, start it with a grateful heart! ❤
Let’s get right on to the post.

NUMBER 1 | Wake Up
I usually wake up from 7:30-8:30am, depending on what I have going on that morning/day. Sometimes my dad wakes me up, other times, I get up naturally because of the sunlight (yipeeee). That has it’s pros and cons – a few weeks ago I woke up at 6am thinking it was 9! Maybe it would be better if I had an alarm clock and black-out blinds…or, maybe not.
Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
NUMBER 2 | Social/School notifications
In the quiet of the morning I like to check my online school’s site for updates and other little things. I also check my email and chat with friends. If I have some homework that needs to get done right away – or that I didn’t do the night before – I’ll do it now.
Don’t wake up with the regret of what you couldn’t accomplish yesterday. Wake up while thinking about what you will be able to achieve today.
NUMBER 3 | Breakfast
This step is *pretty* vital. I usually eat while checking my social/school notifications and email (above). It depends on the day as to what I eat. The menu can include anything from toast, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, to a smoothie, or – if it’s one of those days – there’ll be something fancier.
Set a goal that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning.
NUMBER 4 | Prep For The Day
After I finish eating, I’ll go pick out what I’m going to wear that day and get dressed. I’ll brush my teeth, do my hair (aka brush it… I have legit no hairstyle inspiration ever bc #basic), and get ready for the day with all the stuff that needs to get done.
Focus on being productive, not busy.
NUMBER 5 | Devos
Before I officially start my day, I’ll do my Bible reading. This usually consists of reading chapters of both the Old and New Testaments and, if I’m feeling creative, I’ll journal a verse or two. It’s always good to start off the day in God’s word.
Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Psalm 143:8
NUMBER 6 | Start The Day
After I finish my Bible reading, I’ll start the day off with school and the normal everyday to-dos.
Start each day with a grateful heart.

My morning routine? Well, I wake up, get dressed, take the dog out, eat food, and start my schoolwork. I can’t have a good day unless I get fresh air, even just an open window.
This was a really fun post! I was disappointed when it ended (I just looked at the screen and thought, aw man…)

my routine is basically the same!! although I’m trying to incorporate devotion and prayer in the mornings before I jump into the day. love the cactus theme, by the way! ❤

It’s nice to have a routine. I feel like my day flows much smoother, if I wake up early, have coffee, pray and read the Bible. Love the look of your site and the natural light pics.
