My Summer Plans 2018 + Winner of The Giveaway!

My Life

I cannot tell you how much I absolutely adore summer. Sure, sometimes I don’t know what to do with myself, but let’s face it — during the long winter months, dreaming of summer coming is what I find myself doing constantly. So, to try to make the most of my summer 2018, I’ve got some plans. Not goals, because failing to achieve goals seems so much more depressing than failing to complete plans, right? (anyone else with me??)

Before we start looking at my summer 2018 plans, it’s time to announce the winner of my giveaway! So without further ado… the winner of the Hand Lettered-Art Giveaway is

Plans for Summer 2018

Music-plans

Keep consistent with practicing violin // Over the summer I hope to keep consistent with practicing violin and keeping up with goal.
Attend a violin institute // This will be my third (3rd) time attending this summer institute. It’s always fun to have a week of intense playing. The results are so worth it. I get to rehearse and perform in an orchestra, participate in a group class, play in an ensemble, learn in a masterclass, and other activites under proffessional, international teachers! How cool is that?
Get better at guitar // I can play guitar, but I wouldn’t call myself a pro at it. This summer, with the extra time I have, I hope to get better at guitar.
Learn a full, complete song on piano // I always start learning songs, then just give up halfway through, so this summer I hope to learn a complete song. (The Greatest Showman soundtrack is literally the greatest!! I listen to it and play it so much lol)

Blog-plans
Reach 400 followers // Although this might not actually happen, it’d be awesome if it did. Hey, maybe I’ll do another giveaway if it happens?
Post more often // Summer is a great time to post more often because I naturally have more time.
Plan my posts for the summer so I know what I’m doing and not scrambling // Heh, let’s see if this actually works?
Get more views on posts by sharing them more widely // Sharing on social media and the like will hopefully result in more views and “spreading” of content.
*
Reading-plans
Keep consistent with my 50-books-in-a-year GR challenge // I’ve already read almost 40 books, and the year is half over, so I’m well on my way. 😉
Explore new books // I really want to expand my reading “horizon” and find new book (genres).
*
Travel-plans
Go to the lake // Canada Day Weekend will be spent at the lake, with hopes to go there more over the summer.
Go to church family camp // This is always so much fun, I’m looking forward to it.
Practice driving consistently // I got my learners licence last September and haven’t practiced a ton, but I hope to do more this summer.
*
Misc-Plans
(Attempt to) decorate my room // This really needs to get done, heh. IKEA for the win!
Friends // make an effort to spend more time with friends & keep up with those long-distant
Exercise more often  // I need to get more active this summer, so I’ll try to do that through biking, swimming, walking, running, etc.
Start a graphic design business // I’ve wanted to do this for a while. I have so much fun designing graphics and the like, so why not make money while doing it? (plus don’t we all need the extra cash lol)
Get outside and simply spend time in the sunshine // Self explanatory much?!
*
And that concludes my plans for summer 2018! Hopefully I’ll be able to complete these. 🙂

+ let’s get chatty

What big goal or plan are you hoping to achieve/complete this summer?

  3. Oh…I’m supposed to finish a novel this summer, finish a college course, and take a CLEP. Unless, I get with all of that real soon, none of it’s going to happen. *sighs*
But good luck with your plans! It all sounds like a lot of fun. 😉
