If you’ve been a follower for a while, you’ll know that I love bullet journaling! I’ve posted a few times about it, just search “bullet journaling” on the right and you’ll find those posts. Today I’m going to show you my new bullet journal! I’m so excited to begin using it.
A few weeks ago, I was at Michael’s craft store and bought this Artist’s Loft Journal.
This journal has 249 pages and measures 6 x 8 in, or 15.2 x 20.3 cm. Some of the features include an elastic enclosure band and page markers, see above.
This journal comes with acid free, ink-proof paper. It lays flat (which is awesome)!
I’m thinking of doing something on the side, like putting washi tape or a pretty title to decorate it.
I love how it has an index (or table of contents), so I don’t have to add my own! The only thing I don’t like about it is that the index has more pages than I’ll need.
Of course, this journal has the classic dots which I’m excited to experiment with!!
Up close. I’ve tested pens and so far nothing bleeds through, though you can see some ghosting (Definition of ghosting: when you can see the ink on the other side of the page) with a few inks.
The pens I will likely be using the most with this bullet journal:
- Primsacolor Premier B, black Brush Pen
- Paper Mate Fine Tip, black Pen
- Micron (various sizes), black Pen
And of course, I plan to use lots of other coloured pens and stickers to jazz it up. That’s my new bullet journal! I’m so excited to begin using it and start my own unique planner.
That looks great!

I always love seeing your bullet journal posts! 😃 They always look amazing, and I can’t do it so I just look at the pretty things other people do instead. 😜

I can’t wait to see the designs you have in your bullet journal! (If you’re willing to share of course 😀 ) I was just wondering, in your opinion what are the benefits of having dotted paper? Thanks so much! ❤ ❤

Thanks, Lydia! I’m excited too xD Dotted paper is great for measuring and preciseness, although blank paper works well too. Lined paper doesn’t leave much room for personalization or creativity. Hope that helps! ❤
