Halloween // Why Celebrate Death When You Can Celebrate Life?

INSPIRATION, wellness

October 31st is fast approaching.

And that means a few things. Halloween, for one. And costumes. And candy. And the celebration of something that maybe shouldn’t be celebrated. Some people think it’s totally okay to dress up and go get candy (it’s free, after all!). Others tend to stay away from this so-called “satanic” holiday. As a Christian, should you be participating in Halloween?

DESIGN / ART, wellness

Totally misspelled “peek” in the featured image… whoops!

Taiya Maddison is launching her very own store.

And really soon… October 20th, in fact! I’m helping her get the word out by partaking in her shop launch! Featuring wall art, cute coffee mugs, throw pillows, physical prints and tons more, I’m giving you a sneak peak of what’s in store for her shop! This is my small stop in this grand tour of the Maddison + Co. Shop Launch.

It’s All Official: I’m Starting My Own Mailing List!

DESIGN / ART, wellness

It’s here. It’s ready. It’s official!

I’m finally starting my own mailing list! A few months back I looked into starting one, but realized that I didn’t have the time, energy, or motivation to. A few weeks ago, I looked into it again, and knew I just had to! Another reason is that I’m doing an event this coming November (hint: it’s writing related), and I thought it was a great way to utilize a mailing list.

What? A New Name?

Uncategorized

cropped-joyunnewheader.jpgI know, I know. It all happened so fast! But I just couldn’t resist. So, why the change of name?

The name I “chose” in October of 2016 wasn’t really working for me anymore. It didn’t seem to be fitting, either. I thought over new name ideas, and after a while, I settled on “Joy Unspeakable”.

cropped-untitled.pngTo define the words…

Joy noun \ˈjȯi\ the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying

Unspeakable adjective \ˌən-ˈspē-kə-bəl\ incapable of being expressed in words

If we phrase them together they read “great delight and happiness incapable of being expressed with words”. Basically, inexpressible happiness.
